FAQs

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

No. Whilst we happily take referrals, if you are a private patient you do not require a referral and can call us directly to book an appointment.

Can I claim physiotherapy under my private health?

Yes. If you have extras on your private health it will usually cover a portion of your physiotherapy costs. We process your rebate on the spot, using our HICAPS machine. Every fund/plan is different so if you are unsure what you are covered for you will need to check with your provider.

What should I bring to my appointment?

  • Copies of any referrals, scans, or other relevant information such as medication lists.
  • Clothing that can comfortably expose the injured area.
  • Copy of concession cards, or private health card.

Can I get physiotherapy under TAC/Work-cover?

Yes – if your claim has been approved for physiotherapy and you have a claim number. For all work cover or TAC cases we ask that you call our office in advance of your first appointment, so we can arrange paperwork and billing requirements in advance.

Is physiotherapy covered under Medicare?

No – unless you have a specific referral. Physiotherapy is not covered under Medicare unless you meet certain requirements and are referred by your GP under the Enhanced Primary Care program.

What do I do if I need to change my appointment?

We are happy to reschedule your appointment if you cannot make it. If you need to change your appointments, we ask for as much notice as possible. Please call our office if you need to make changes to your appointment times.
